With this in mind, we are proud to say that these are the medical staff members who have made Office of Internal Medicine what it is today.

Hany M. Habashy, MD, is the principal for The Office of Internal Medicine, PC. Dr. Habashy graduated from Alexandria Medical School in Egypt in 1980. He moved to England in 1983 for post-graduate training and study. Dr. Habashy was elected to the membership of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians of Great Britain in 1986. He came to the United States in 1993, where he completed his residency training at Methodist University Hospital and became Board Certified in 1995. Dr. Habashy was elected to the Fellowship of American College of Physicians in 2014. He has practiced Internal Medicine in Memphis for more than 20 years. Dr. Habashy is married with two children.

Kimberly D. Polk, FNP-BC, is a 2009 graduate of University of Memphis with her MSN, ANP, and is Board Certified by the ANCC. Prior to advanced practice, she worked for 12 years as a RN in a long term acute care setting. Kim has been serving internal medicine needs in Memphis and surrounding areas at The Office of Internal Medicine for eight years, and she is well loved by her patients! Kim has a strong patient base but is always accepting new patients. She grew up in Selmer, TN, and is married with a son and daughter. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family.

Megan P. Self, NP-C, has been with The Office of Internal Medicine for two years. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and is Board Certified by the AANP. Megan’s primary role is serving the internal medicine needs for Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital next to Methodist University Hospital; however, occasionally, she sees patients at The Office of Internal Medicine clinic. Megan loves reading and traveling, and she is from Hernando, MS.

Mindy Williamson, FNP-C, graduated from University of Mississippi School of Nursing with her MSN. She is Board Certified by the AANP. Prior to her role as a Nurse Practitioner, Mindy worked for 18 years as a RN in the Cardiovascular ICU at Methodist University Hospital. She grew up in Memphis but currently resides in Hernando, MS, with her husband and two daughters, ages 11 and 13. Mindy never had to wonder what she wanted to do when she grew up – her love for nursing started at an early age!

Meet Catherine Phelps, FNP-C, a graduate of Vanderbilt University and AANP Board Certified. She is from Covington, TN, and loves music, reading, cuisine and traveling. Catherine works with Dr. Habashy at Methodist University Hospital, rounding to address internal medicine needs of the patients.
